If you're looking for something to give you power off the tee but also forgive you for those little mistakes in your swing that sometimes happen, the Ping Rapture drivers will be a perfect fit in your golf bag. Combining both titanium and carbon composite materials, the Rapture Driver is not only a work of art but also sports some pretty creative and advanced intelligence. The sheer beauty of the composite crown will not only draw attention from lusting eyes, but delivers on it's promise of performance.
The 460cc Rapture Driver features a patent pending web-shaped crown and has been injected with lightweight, high strength composite materials. This has allowed engineers working for Ping to actually move 20 grams of weight and strategically reposition it where it's needed, in the head resulting in a low-spinning, high-launching driver. This allows for a tighter grouping of shots no matter where you hit the ball on the club face as well as increased distance.
The patent-pending web crown design on the Rapture driver is a real piece of work. It's quite a unique perspective on a club. They've actually removed some of the Titanium in the crown and replaced it with some lightweight composite material. What this has done is actually reposition the center of gravity in the club. The repositioning produces a higher ball trajectory and also a lower spin. The final result creates greater distance and control giving into straighter drives from the box.
The Ping Rapture drivers are quite outstanding clubs. You can hit long and swing away (well almost) and still have some control over where the ball will lie. This club is good for not only advanced golfers but for the novice golfer as well. If you look around the web you'll find quite a lot of reviews as wel on this club and for the most part they've all been very positive. In fact, one I found even said "It's the best driver I've ever had."
While these drivers are still relatively expensive, you could see if your local pro shop has a demo that they'd let you take out for a round or two to try it out yourself in a "real-golf" type setting. If not, you could definitely look around for some used Ping Rapture driver and see if you can't get one at a deal of a price instead.
